Thanks to the new iPhones selling 10 million units within four days of their launch, Samsung has decided to launch its latest phablet — the Galaxy Note 4 — a few weeks early in its home market. Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 at the beginning of this month in IFA and the phablet was scheduled to release in most of the major markets sometime in October. However, according to Korea Times, the Korean giant has pushed forward the release of the Note 4 on all the major carriers — SK Telecom, KT and UPlus — in South Korea to September 26th itself. According to the Samsung’s spokesperson cited by Korea Times, “the positive reaction from consumers to those two Apple devices prompted us to launch the Note 4 earlier than previously scheduled.” Thanks to the pressure on the company, it will be heavily marketing the launch of the Note 4 on a global scale as well. Samsung expects to ship around 15 million units of the Galaxy Note 4 within a month of its launch. For comparison’s sake, its predecessor — the Note 3 — shipped 10 million units within two months of its release. Interestingly, the Note 4 is also the cheapest phablet ever from Samsung, at least in its home market. While previous Note phablets retailed in excess of $1000, the Note 4 will set users back by only $919.
