Before I get to this story, I want to point out that there are different interpretations of any given given English word depending on the country you’re in. According to DigiTimes, the HTC M4, which can best be thought of as the Facebook phone minus Facebook Home, will have a “metal-alloy chassis“.
Now that can mean two things. One, the word “chassis” could be interpreted as being the actual internal frame of the device. The skeleton, if you will. Two, it could mean the body, as in how the phone looks. I’m hesitant to say that the M4 will have a metal body like the HTC One, but wouldn’t it be nice if it did? The report goes on to say that the M4 will start shipping in June at an initial rate of around 700,000 units per month. Whether or not that goes up remins to be seen. What I want to know is when HTC will actually announce the M4? Given that Samsung is rumored to be announcing the GS4 Mini in June, and given that this new rumor suggests M4 shipments will start during the same month, something tells me summer is going to be busy.
