Yesterday evening, Apple started cracking down on apps that use third-party services to update without App Store approval. The majority of the affected apps seemed to use Rollout.io, an SDK that allows developers to modify their app in “real-time.” Now, Rollout’s CEO and co-founder, Erez Rusovsky, has issued a statement on Apple’s policy shift… In a statement posted on the Rollout.io website, Rusovsky explained that the central purpose of the service is to allow developers to quickly fix bugs after an app has been released....

The Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL are good devices. I’d go so far as to call them above average. But they’re not exactly the company’s best efforts. Apple held a special event yesterday to introduce the iPhone 12 lineup and the HomePod mini. However, there are two long-awaited products that weren’t even mentioned during the keynote: AirPods Studio and AirTags. According to Jon Prosser on Twitter, Apple is facing a “major hiccup” in the production of the AirPods Studio, but AirTags will be announced next month.
